Developer’s Itch

The programmer in me is trying to surface again. It is so strong that I even find myself wanting to program while working on a project plan. In fact, I have been lately finding myself emerged in readings tackling Struts 2, Java Server Faces, iBatis, and Maven 2. Somehow, i want to be a developer again. Not that I don’t want to manage projects; in fact I am enjoying my job as a project manager. It’s just that, seeing my developers emerged on their work, coding their time away makes me want to join the plunge. I want to create an application! Maybe I’ll think of a tool that I can use to manage my projects and develop it in my free time — that is if I am entitled to a “free time” ^^.

On another note, the software development methodology that I have chosen for my project isn’t working at all. Feature Driven Development (FDD) is just too cumbersome. I need to find another approach that will fit my project. Oh well, back to the bat cave!
